Block Collision Simulator
How it Works
- Enter the mass and initial velocity for each block.
- The simulation will display the blocks moving and colliding.
- The collision is calculated assuming an elastic collision (no energy loss).
- After the collision, the blocks will move with new velocities based on the conservation of momentum and kinetic energy.
- Negative velocity indicates movement to the left.
Physics Concepts
- Momentum: The product of an object's mass and velocity. In a closed system, momentum is conserved.
- Kinetic Energy: The energy of motion. In an elastic collision, kinetic energy is conserved.
- Elastic Collision: A collision where both momentum and kinetic energy are conserved.
